We offer three programs to reach more students. See below to learn about local, international, and middle school programs.

Guatemala

Spend 13 days immersed in the historic culture of San Miguel Escobar. You’ll explore the rich tapestry of Guatemalan life, from traditional Mayan culture to current economic, political & social issues.

What’s your spark? Are you passionate about ending bullying at your school? Is the environment is your priority, and you’re always found cleaning up parks or getting your hands dirty in a community garden? Global Leaders is home to students just like you, who will make a difference, and are looking for the tools and skills to make your impacts last. You’ll make a commitment in October to complete 60 hours of service and leadership training before you depart for your international journey the following spring or summer. We’d love to have you join our GL family.

Journey Dates:

July 31- August 10

Fees: Call for more info

GL Local

Experience the 9-month leadership program and participate in all the local service opportunities GL offers without traveling abroad. You'll receive the same leadership training and volunteer with the whole GL team right here in Fort Collins.

You'll volunteer at local food pantries, Respite Care, Putnam Elementary, and local community gardens. All GL participants attend bi-monthly leadership seminars and work on weekly service projects. The GL Local program fee goes directly toward funding our local and international service projects and programs.

GL Middle school to Puerto Rico

Students from Preston Middle School take service learning classes in school, participate in local service opportunities GL offers, and have the opportunity to travel to Puerto Rico.

Students volunteer locally on needs-based projects throughout the year. During Spring break in Puerto Rico, students will work alongside local students to help in Hurricane relief efforts. They will be building a self-sustainable education/refuge center built from waste materials… that’s right, from trash! These structures are called Earthships, and will help PR become self-reliant when the next hurricane comes. On top of that, the structures address an issue of trash build up on the island. Students will also practice Spanish and immerse themselves in a new culture.

Fee

9-month leadership program: $300
